NAB All Systems Go

NAB All Systems Go is a thought leadership report produced by Deloitte Access Economics for NAB. It explores the state of Australia’s digital and economic systems and what’s needed to keep them resilient and future-ready. The report required a clear, cohesive visual language capable of managing complex information effectively.

Approach

The project came together under a tight timeframe, and much of the design was guided by instinct and experience with complex layouts. I focused on creating a clear visual hierarchy and well-structured pages, allowing the content to flow naturally and making key ideas easier to grasp.

I drew on skills I’d been developing over time – designing layouts, organising complex information and balancing stakeholder needs — to deliver a cohesive, engaging report.

What worked well

  • Collaborating with John Kwiecinski was a highlight. He gave me space to lead creatively while supporting execution and problem-solving under tight deadlines.

  • Content changes were handled efficiently, maintaining consistency and catching small issues along the way.

  • Stakeholders at NAB were very satisfied, and the design was carried forward into the next edition – a strong validation of the design direction.

What I’d refine

  • Future iterations could be more digital-first, rather than primarily print-led.

  • Refine accessibility, particularly around colour contrast and type sizes.

  • Further enhance infographics and data storytelling for clarity and impact.

“Michelle was creative, collaborative and understood the brief immediately. She delivered very high quality work in a tight timeframe and NAB, as an important Deloitte client, was very complimentary of her work.”
